Full job description: Content Writer

Zoni Content Writer is an expert in creating original content such as lesson materials, teacher’s guide, test items, short story, and reading passages for Zoni Kids learners. They play a crucial role in adding great value to learning and development.

Key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Writes lesson and reading materials for ESL learners including fiction or nonfiction prose work, such as short story, reading passages, and descriptive essays.
• Selects subject or theme for writing project based on learners’ interests and reading level and/or as assigned by the project lead.
• Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Conducts research to obtain information and authentic detail.
• Reviews, submits for approval, and revises written material to meet company content standards.
• Proofreads and revises lesson materials, stories, internal training modules, and other materials assigned.
• Collaborates with other ESL writers on other kinds of tasks and projects and organizes material for the project, plans arrangement or outline, and writes synopsis.
• Participates in or takes leadership of projects as assigned by the manager.
• Performs other tasks or duties as may be assigned by the company.
• Safeguards data and information accordingly

Remote

College degree in Creative Writing, Literature, English, Communication, Education, or any related course
TEYL certification an advantage
Experience in writing or developing ESL materials for children and adults
Excellent English language skills
(Writing and Speaking)
Excellent English grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation
Effective writing skills to relate to target audience or communications type
Knowledgeable or willing to be trained to use digital tools to do writing or editing tasks
Well-organized
Highly flexible and collaborative working extensively with other teams
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills; strong work ethics; team player
High proficiency in computer use
(including Word processing, PPT, image manipulation, etc.)
Sample written work
(published: online or offline)
Proven work experience in writing, editing or publishing books for children or adults
